Bonsai is a traditional Japanese art that expresses the inherent beauty of plants in a small pot.Its unique charm, which combines natural beauty with artificial beauty, has attracted attention around the world.
This exhibition will bring together bonsai, pine and cypress, azalea, small bonsai, and original bonsai, as well as fine wood, suiseki, and masterpieces, all of which have been publicly solicited and carefully selected from across the country.
This is the largest bonsai exhibition in Japan indoors in terms of both display style and scale,so please enjoy the traditional beauty and charm of Japan, which is widely known around the world as "BONSAI".

A cafe space where you can enjoy original Japanese sweets inspired by Bonsai. Relax and immerse yourself in the ambiance of Japanese tradition while savoring matcha.

Nihon Bonsai Taikanten Exhibition Guided Tour
On Saturday November 23rd, and Sunday November 24th, from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM
Guided tour will be conducted by bonsai expert Hitomi Kawasaki. The tour will cover explanations of various Bonsai styles, including Shohaku, Satsuki, creative Bonsai, and miniature Bonsai, as well as Suiseki (viewing stones).

Daitokuji Hoshun-in Bonsai Garden Bus Tour
On Friday, November 22nd, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM
After the guided tour of the 「Nihon Bonsai Taikanten Exhibition」 you will be taken by a private bus to the Daitokuji Hoshun'in Bonsai Garden. Bonsai expert Hitomi Kawasaki will provide an beginner class explanation, allowing even beginners to enjoy and appreciate the profound art of Bonsai.
